Bravo for an excellent textbook! The book contains many concentrated explorations of topics ranging from renewable energy to nuclear weapons to pollution. Because each subtopic is addressed so efficiently, even less advanced and non-physics students can benefit from some of the examples and problems. More advanced students can absorb the whole book. Some of the examples and calculations are even fun. This semester I assigned one chapter from the book for my graduate class. Next semester I will use the whole book for my graduate class. I expect to use this regularly in both graduate and advanced undergraduate classes.() Poor quality book binding - pages falling out. Heavy emphasis on nuclear issues. Less emphasis on relevant timely topics.
